SEO – Yes, I said it.
Ever wondered how people get high in the ranks of search engines? Mainly Google? Well, in this post I’ll be talking exactly about that!
You see.. people forget the necessary things like… Meta tags… extra links on their page.. and yes… ONE ad, or many ads in places where they are not annoying. Or noticeable, but not annoying?
Ad’s get you noticed on websites. Also bring in revenue. Ad’s help focus people to your website believe it or not. Because if someone searched a certain something, well.. your website can be linked to it AT that time of the indexer. So if your website is indexed by Google at the time an “AOL”: ad is displaying.. the next time somone searches for AOL, just maybe your website will show up JUST because you had that AOL ad on your website.
Extra links? Oh yes.. don’t forget to include your friends links, blogrolls, whatever you wish to call them – but include them. It’s ALWAYS good to have extra links on your page, even if they are not related to your website. in exchange, most likely, the other websites that you include on your website, those websites will include your website link on theirs. It’s an even exchange. Why to do this though? Lets say that my website was crawled/indexed.. and it seen your link. Well what do you think it’s going to do? Just sit there? No! It’s going to head on over to YOUR website and start indexing it. Neat huh? having your website high in the ranks is quite easy, but you must have patience! It can take up to 2 weeks for anything to happen.
Meta tags? Yes….. <meta Etc… You know? It’s good to have every page specifically meta tagged, or a main meta tag so that the search engine will properly tag the words. This is VERY important. Also, include in the head section of your page for the bot to re-index after ‘3′ days. OR don’t include it at all. Matter fact, the Google Crawl Bot automatically adjusts to how much your site advances. meaning, the more material that shows up on your website, and faster, is exactly HOW much more often the Google Crawl Bot comes back to re-index your website. And when that does happen, everything I just discussed takes place.
Another thing is, write write write write! Don’t be afraid to write long paragraphs on your home page, BUT make it TO THE POINT! Do not include useless junk on your front page. Make sure it’s “enough,” but not “useless.” Does that make sense?
There’s plenty of SEO tools that you can use to also help determine exactly how you should have your website. However, a unique website brings out the BEST of a website. That does make sense, just think about it slowly.
So all in all. To at least get your website in the high ranks of the category OF your website… following these tips should be useful to you, and many others.
Good luck!
WinMX Patch – Community Style – Released
Well, after several weeks of testing. Probably months with alpha’s or whatever, WinMX Patch Parties finally decided to release the patch on the “death” of WinMX – September 23, 2005 – September 23, 2008.
The patch was written by Eagle who has made the patch very reliable. Not to mention the backsides.. being trustworthy, etc. Eagle is a trusted programmer within the WInMX community. So no worries there.
The thing about this patch is, it’s not controlled by just one person, or group. It’s controlled by the user themselves. Which ever the users decide to slip into the configuration is what server they use. Which, there really isn’t much of a difference now, because the whole point of the community patch was to bring all patch parties together – To serve all at once without hassle of confusion.
So with the protection of the DLL (Fake file blocking, filtering of the flooders, etc), each cache/user is protected – No matter which they use.
I’ve tested out the patch while it was in beta stages, and it worked very well. But to be honest, I have yet to try the final release as of 23.08. Eh, I will have to. But it’s obviously working fine.
Only one thing is that Upnp is a very small problem. Some routers don’t work right with UpNp or routers don’t have upnp enabled by default. But that’s, like I said, a very small problem. Easily enable’able.
Good Luck, WinMX!

Throttle, now a cap?
Sucks now that Comcast is starting to haunt down on customers. They have issued a 250gb cap by the 1st of October?.
lol sometimes I wonder if I’m going to exceed that or not….hard to tell, but we’ll see!
Google Chrome
Well. Google Chrom web browser has released! And it is wonderful. Finally a browser with style and slimness. Although I guess that would fit into with the “style.”
It is sometimes a little buggy while playing flash videos. As when I was playing videos from youtube and switched back to another web page, it sort of lagged? Or just a quick freeze? (I call lagging where it’s slowly moving, but this freezed) – That’s the only bug I’ve found so far, other than starting off with a fresh browser again.
This supposedly runs on Linux, however I have not tried it yet. Providing I use with WINE it should run fine
.
There is only a few things that is missing…. such as the middle scroll button.. You know where you click in onthe scroll button and then just move the mouse up or down and it slides along the page?
The flash bug
The error i had with the flash was actually not that bad. It frooze, then came up with an error and asked me about it. To be honest I forget what it said (even thought it only happened about a half hour ago). So far it has user error control. Keep in mind I did not read the review on the google chrome website before downloading this.
Anyway, GOOD LUCK GOOGLE! I love this browser, and will probably use it even more. Maybe it’ll even become my main browser.

ISP’s And BullShit
Well… it seems that the throttling/blocking or whatever has finally hit my area. I’ve noticed great difference in some speeds. What is it with these FCC people? And the other ones that are most likely involved with this stuff? Do they not realise that you could make more money if you’d quit throttling such things (or even blocking). Hell, people would see that the ISP is free to be, and come and use it for what it’s supposed to be used for.
Everything has gone to shit lately with Internet Companies. Even in the UK they have made it hell for customers in the last 2 years. Throttling them.. even some complain of slow HTTP connections. I’ve also seen it myself as well. I mean come on, we pay anywhere from $30 to $300 for decent and nowadays, we aren’t paying for the speed and reliability, we are paying for them to purchase throttling software and use it against us.
Edit Add-ON:
Again, in Aus they are being trampled by Internet prices. It’s so expensive to get a decent connection over in Aus, (even NZ) anymore. I’m not even mentioning the rest of the companies.
I know a guy that lives in Canada, and pays around 200$ (if not more and in Canada Money) for his satelite internet and he can’t even host a single thing. Not even a simple web server, or game server. And he’s constantly throttled if even tries.. so there’s no point in even doing it is there? What kind of service is that? “Lets charge you a lot, but you’ll still get your money worth. Use yahoo and msn a lot”
Nowadays, it seems to go back to dial up would be the best route. Broadband companies all over the world seem to be falling apart, because of harrasing laws around them. Torrent sites closed in the USA, can barely run them in the UK, a no no in Canada… You have to get the server over seas now just to run anything. P2P and Torrenting classed as “bad” and “you shouldn’t do that.” It’s getting scarey guys… next thing you know we’ll be surfing through tunnels trying to protect our passwords to emails. Oh wait, they can already access our email by any means.
What next?
